Creative Media & Print Expo – PeaceLovePrint! is Coming

AMA Phoenix Spectrum Awards 2009 – Call for Entries

The AMA Phoenix Spectrum Awards is the largest marketing awards event in the Valley. Recognizing exellence in marketing across all areas of marketing, it is an outstanding way to showcase your work and see excellence across the industry.

The AMA Phoenix Spectrum Awards event is coming May 27 from 5:30pm-9:30pm at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown (340 N. 3rd St, Phoenix).

Entry Categories

Reference these category numbers on each entry form.
Please note that if you are submitting an entry that is in Spanish, there will be bilingual judges who can fairly and accurately judge these entries.

Also, please note that if you are submitting an entry that is multicultural in nature, you are not limited to only one category, you may submit for all categories.

Integrated Marketing Campaigns
Campaigns will be judged on overall creativity, execution, and results.
1. Existing Product or Service Campaign: Use of at least two forms of media to create the most comprehensive marketing campaign.
2. New Product or Service Campaign: Use of at least two forms of media to create the most comprehensive marketing campaign.
3. Multicultural Campaign: Use of at least two forms of media to create the most comprehensive multicultural marketing campaign.

16. Online Marketing Campaign: Use of successful strategy and tactics in the execution of an Online marketing campaign
17. E-mail Marketing Campaign: Use of successful strategy and tactics in the execution of an Email marketing campaign
18. E-Commerce: Use of successful strategy and tactics to promote a company’s E-Commerce site
19. Website: Use of successful design, functionality, creative and features
20. Microsite: Use of successful design, functionality, creative and features
21. Mobile Marketing: Use of successful mobile marketing
22. New Online Marketing Initiative: Development and use of a new, unique program, tool, technique used in Online marketing
23. Social Media Marketing: Use of successful of social network marketing, viral campaigns

Market Research
Campaigns will be judged on overall methodology, execution and results.
24. Market Research: Any project, including qualitative and quantitative data, whose analysis demonstrates enhancement of a brand, product or service. Blinded materials may be submitted if research is confidential.

Sponsorship Marketing
Campaigns will be judged on overall creativity, execution and results.
25. Sponsorship Marketing: Use of successful strategy and tactics in sponsorship marketing

Direct Marketing
Campaigns will be judged on overall creativity, execution and results.
26. Direct Mail Campaign:  Use of successful direct mail to reach consumers, businesses or non-profits to generate direct response.
27. Multi-Channel Campaign: Use of successful at least two channels to reach consumers, businesses or nonprofits to generate direct response.
28. CRM: Use of successful CRM program
29. PURL: Successful Use of pURLs in a direct mail or email to reach consumers, businesses or non-profits to generate direct response.
30. Direct Response: Use of successful marketing to generate direct response, catalogs, telemarketing, infomercials, SEO or any other affiliate marketing to generate direct response.
31. New Direct Marketing Initiative: Development and use of a successful, new, unique program, tool, technique used in direct marketing
32. Event Marketing: Use of successful marketing for a special event or production.
33. Integrated Multi-Media: Use of successful integrated multi-media to generate direct response.

Eligibility Guidelines
Submitters must be Arizona-based. Campaigns submitted must have been implemented between January 1, 2008 through February 28, 2009 Entries must arrive no later than 5 pm on Monday, March 16 2009.

Entry Preparation
Each entry should be submitted on 8.5 x 11’’ paper (not letterhead) and CD, with campaign name and category number clearly visible on each page of the submission. For each submission, please complete the entry form; for multiple submissions, please send in multiple entry forms. Each submission should include the following information:
• A brief description 100-words or less of your entry, and a digital copy of your company logo (300 dpi, eps format) – for inclusion in the Spectrum Awards Program
• One hi-res image that encapsulates the campaign. This can be an image of a magazine ad, an image of a top-tier article, press kit image, direct mail piece, etc. This will be used during the awards banquet
• Summary: General description of your campaign in 500 words or less.
• Objectives: Description of the objectives or business problem solved by the campaign-in 500 words or less
• Strategies: Description/definition of the strategy/strategies implemented to meet or exceed the campaign’s objectives in 500 words or less
• Tactics: Description/definition of the campaign’s tactics used to carry out its strategy/strategies in 500 words or less
• Results: Description of result in 500 words or less

Single Entry Submissions
Submit your campaign with a completed entry form. One hard copy and one electronic copy on CD or DVD of all summary, strategy and sample submissions must be included. Attach one entry form, as well as summary and strategy with each submission. One entry form must be filled out completely for each category entered. Please type and double-space answers to the criteria questions on a separate sheet (not letterhead). Do not exceed three pages. Please indicate the category name and number on each page.

Multiple Entry Submissions
During registration, enter the amount of entries. Print the receipt and attach to each entry and highlight which category it is.

Payment & Delivery
Payment can be made online by visiting the online AMA Phoenix Spectrum Awards registration page or by one company check made payable to AMA Phoenix or by credit card submitted for multiple entries from the same company. • AMA Member Fee: $65 per entry/per category
• Non-Member Fee: $95 per entry/per category

• All Entries (both AMA Member & Non-Member): $125 per entry/per category

Judging
AMA Phoenix has chosen a highly respected panel of business professionals from the Valley to judge the 2009 AMA Phoenix Spectrum Awards. The Awards subcommittee has set all the judging criteria and is responsible for tabulating the final results. All point scoring is on a percentage scale: 100 percent being the highest possible score. The entry with the highest percentage in its category is the winner. In the case of a tie, the judges will collectively decide the winner. Judges are not permitted to judge entries from their own industries. The finalists in each category will be notified prior to the Awards show in May.

Please note that the expert panel of judges will be reviewing the submission on criteria listed below:
• Summary: General description of your campaign
• Objectives: Description of the objectives or business problem solved by the campaign
• Strategies: Description/definition of the strategy/strategies implemented to meet or exceed the campaign’s objective
• Tactics: Description/definition of the campaign’s tactics used to carry out its strategy/strategies
• Results: Description of result
