Different browsers are configured to recognize different file types and display the logo file rather than giving you the option to save the file to your hard disk. For example, browsers will always open file types such as GIFs and JPEGs, because those are the standard formats used to display graphics on a web page. Even so, you can save these and any other file type to your hard disk using the proper procedure. Browsers can also be configured to display other file types, such as TIFF and EPS files. If clicking on a file in the download list does not bring up a dialog box with the option to save the file, use the procedure described below for your type of computer. In fact, you can always use the procedure to download a file from a hyperlink to it.

Windows Download
To save the file to your desktop, click the right mouse button on the link. You will be presented with a menu that contains a number of options.

If you are using Netscape, you will be prompted with "Save link as..." On Explorer's browsers the choice will either be "Save target as..." or "Save image as..." Click on that option with the left mouse button and you will be prompted with a dialog box to save the file to your hard disk. After naming the file, click the "Save" button.

Macintosh Download
To save the file to your desktop, click on the link and hold the mouse button down until the menu appears. Select “Save target as..." or "Save image as” to save the logo to your hard disk.
