New to or re-entering the Phoenix job market?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then the AMA Job Transition group is ideal for you. The Transition Meetings are free for members and only $10 for non-members. If you wish to attend the luncheon that follows, please note that you must separately register and pay for that event.

This group is designed for qualified professional with degrees or experience in the following fields: Advertising/Branding, PR, Web, Direct Response, Promotions, Market Research, Product Marketing, Communications and Sales Support. This transition group is designed to provide ideas and insight to anyone is these fields looking for a new position, regardless of reason.

What expectations should I have in attending the AMA Job Transition Meeting? The group is a networking opportunity for feedback on how ready, prepared and focused you are for a job search. You will get feedback on your resume and if your goals and desires are realistic or if they need refining. You may also get some new ideas or pick up some leads and contacts from other participants. It is not a meeting where employers attend or have jobs waiting for you. As in any job search, your success is up to you and the effort you put into it to get results.

Come to the meeting prepared: Bring 25 copies of your resume, questions you may have for the group and be able to succinctly describe your dream job and what you are looking for in your next position. Since it is a round table, you will have approximately 3 – 5 minutes focused on you, so use your time wisely by being focused and prepared. You will also learn a great deal by listening to others as many things will be applicable to you as well.
